'Ben' as he was known to his friends, led the way for his offspring in many kennels worldwide. He sired champions both in the UK and overseas. He was instrumental in improving the hips, colour and temperament for many well-established kennels. During his show career he attained Best in Show awards and numerous Best of Breeds including Crufts. Ben was the celebrated mascot for the Royal Naval destroyer HMS Manchester and was always really happy when meeting the crew. After retiring from the show ring he enjoyed his free time appearing in films. He was a friendly, gentle, home loving dog who loved to relax and enjoy life. |
